Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP)
Manitoba, one of the western Prairie Provinces of Canada, it is a province with a long history of productive agriculture. Manitoba is surrounded on the east by the province of Ontario and on the west by the province of Saskatchewan. It is home to the city of Winnipeg.
It chooses applicants for Manitoba immigration in accordance with the unique economic requirements of the province. These are the streams:
- Skilled Workers in Manitoba (SWM)
- Skilled Workers Overseas (SWO)
- International Education Stream (IES)
- Business Investor Stream (BIS)
Skilled Worker in Manitoba Stream
Based on the particular requirements of Manitoba companies, the skilled worker stream (SWM) was created. SWM chooses employees with the necessary abilities who have received training abroad and nominates them for permanent residence in Canada. With two routes for immigration to Manitoba, the stream gives priority to applicants with a strong sense of place.
Manitoba Work Experience Pathway
This route is for individuals who have a temporary work permit and are currently employed in Manitoba. This covers contract employees and foreign graduates from post-secondary institutions in Canada.
Employer Direct Recruitment Pathway
You must participate in an interview with a Manitoba company and an MPNP representative in order to be qualified for this program. These interrogations take place outside of Canada. Before submitting an application via this pathway, you must receive an invitation to apply.
Skilled Worker Overseas Stream
The MPNP for Skilled Workers Overseas nominates applicants who demonstrate an established connection to Manitoba through:
- Through previous education or work experience in the province; or
- Through an Invitation to Apply received directly from the MPNP as part of a Strategic Recruitment Initiative.
- The support of family members or friends;
All applicants to the MPNP who are applying as Skilled Workers Overseas must demonstrate an established connection to Manitoba either through the support of family members or friends, through previous education or work experience in the province or through an Invitation to Apply received directly from the MPNP as part of a Strategic Recruitment Initiative
The Skilled Worker Overseas Stream (SWO) consists of a direct provincial track in addition to a dedicated Canada Express Entry Pathway.

Before they can be proposed for permanent residence, they must fulfil the terms of a business performance agreement.
Business Investor Stream
Two immigration streams make up Manitoba's Business Investor Stream (BIS), which is intended for people with business management experience who want to start a new venture there. The farm investor stream is intended exclusively for entrepreneurs in the farming industry, while the entrepreneurial stream is for general entrepreneurs with company proposals in a variety of sectors.

Letters of Advice to Apply
The top-scoring EOIs for the MPNP's three application streams—Skilled Workers in Manitoba, Skilled Workers Abroad, and Business Investors—are routinely chosen from the pool in accordance with the MPNP Ranking Points system for Skilled Workers or Program Eligibility for Business Investors, and those chosen are given a Letter of Advice to Apply (LAA). The capacity and annual processing goals determine how many LAAs are issued in each draw.
You have 60 days after receiving a LAA to submit a complete application to the MPNP. You will also be required to present documentation to back up the information you gave us in your expression of interest. It can be construed as deception if you include inaccurate or deceptive information in your EOI. Your application can be turned down, and you might be given a two-year ban that would prevent you from applying to the MPNP in the future.
Your LAA will give you guidance on what to do next if you are invited to submit an application. By following these instructions, you will be able to access the full application for the Skilled Worker position and log in to the Government of Manitoba account you set up for your Expression of Interest.
After you submit it, your Expression of Interest will continue to be valid for a year. To continue being considered after it expires, you must submit a fresh Expression of Interest.
