Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP)
Nearly 40% of all Canadians reside in Ontario, the province with the highest population in the country. Toronto, Canada's largest city, and Ottawa, its capital, are both located in Ontario. The most popular destination for immigrants to Canada is by far Ontario. One-third of all new arrivals arrive in the province each year. Ontario's job prospects, high income, and diversified population attracted people to settle there. In actuality, more than half of Toronto's population is non-Canadian.
Based on a pre-approved job offer in the province, Ontario nominates people and their families for permanent resident status under Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP). To aid employers in competing successfully in the global talent market, the Ontario government established the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP). Foreign employees, international students, and other people with the necessary qualifications (skills, experience, and education) submit nomination requests to the OINP.
There are two ways for people to meet the requirements and submit an application to the OINP -
1. Set up a profile in the express entry candidate pool for Canada -
A Notification of Interest from the OINP encouraging you to apply for a nomination through one of the following Ontario Express Entry streams may be sent to those who have profiles in the Government of Canada's Express Entry System.
- French-Speaking Skilled Worker Stream - Apply for the French-Speaking Skilled Worker stream if you are a French-speaking foreign worker with strong English language abilities.
- Skilled Trades Stream - If you are a foreign worker with experience working in a qualifying skilled trade in Ontario, you should apply for the Skilled Trades stream.

Make sure to keep your OINP profile up to date with your most recent work experience, language exams, and other qualifications in order to be considered for a nomination through the program.
2. File an Expression Of Interest (EOI) With The OINP
You can create a profile in the OINP e-Filing Portal and then register an expression of interest once you have made sure you are qualified for your stream of interest. You may receive an application invitation after submitting your EOI, at which point you can apply to the program for any of the following streams:
